La Barca nel Bosco

Every child has been dreaming of a tree house, including us. Some lucky ones had a creative father or grandfather who built it for them, but this was not the case with us. Then life takes you here and there, situations choose you and reality forms forcefully before your eyes. One morning you wake up and the tree house is there waiting for you, you just have to go up there, sleep in it, wake up to the chirping of the birds, enjoy your breakfast, take a good book and get ready for a wonderful, new day.

Or put on a bathing suit and go down to the pool, then quickly come back up to sunbathe on the terrace. Well, it didn't go exactly like that...The tree house was thought of for years, designed and redesigned, imagined in many ways, until it took
the shape of a boat
one of those boats that slowly sail up the eastern rivers, taking with them the lives of entire families.

The idea of the boat meeting the forest struck us. What could be more Piedmontese than "a boat in the woods", a way to define the inadequacy and discomfort of being out of place

And again, what is most similar to us, who over thirty years ago left our lives as auditors and embarked on the crazy undertaking of founding a farm and a guest farmhouse, like boats in the woods, in fact.

We wanted it to be large, comfortable, entirely made of wood,
suspended between the branches
but well anchored to the ground, with a glass wall overlooking the forest and another overlooking the swimming pool. We chose it to have zero impact and wanted it to be built by the engineer Giuseppe Gianolio, a genius born in Cellarengo, who with his Vass is a leader in the field of green buildings. The result is a small building that makes ergonomics, sustainability and comfort its strong points.

Platform frame walls

The building has walls built with the platform frame system.

A wooden structure interspersed with low-density insulation to which a high-density wood fiber coat is added, with top class thermal performance in both winter (insulation) and summer (thermal inertia).

External coverings

The building is covered with national larch boards that recall the planking of a boat.

The terraces or rather the floors of the boat decks are covered in heat-treated ash.

Heat pump

Winter and summer air conditioning is entrusted to a dedicated and reversible heat pump which maintains the correct internal temperature throughout the year.

Domestic hot water is supplied by a dedicated heat pump which carries out this function through the use of electricity only (mainly generated on site by photovoltaic).

Mechanical ventilation

A controlled mechanical ventilation system ensures continuous air changes also managed based on the presence of people inside or the humidity level of the internal air, ensuring total comfort and healthiness of the building.

The VMC is equipped with an energy recovery system in order to minimize energy consumption connected to air changes.

Courtesy lights

Some rooms (dressing room and bathroom closet) and staircase are equipped with courtesy lights which automatically turn on when people pass by

This solution allows easy movement even with busy hands and guarantees effective energy saving

Radiant system

eThe air conditioning is achieved through a radiant system in order to have perfect temperature distribution inside the building and consequent total comfort.

The high-performance casing allows the radiant system to be operated with a very low thermal difference between the ambient air and the system.

Energy home automation

An energy home automation system guarantees smart use of the air conditioning system.

The temperature of each individual room is managed independently and can be controlled/set remotely with a smartphone or computer connected to the network.

Dehumidification

Each room is equipped with a dehumidification system to guarantee, in combination with the air conditioning system, total comfort with particular reference to the summer period.

Internet
